Please read the following information before filing an online report. The link to start the online report can be found at the bottom of this page. 

 
Our online reporting system is voluntary and allows you to submit a report on certain types of incidents. If you have an emergency, a crime is in progress or someone is injured call 911 immediately and do not use this system to report it.

It is a crime to file a false police report!

To report online you must have:
  • A valid email address
  •  Internet Explorer or Firefox as a web browser
If you do not have an email address or you are unable to use Internet Explorer or Firefox, you will not be able to report online. Please call (863) 402-7200 and request a deputy to file a report or visit our office to speak witha deputy.

We can only accept the following to be reported online:

Lost Property, Click here for examples

Harassing Phone Calls, click here for examples

Theft (total lost not more than $300.00), click here for examples

Identity Theft, click here for examples

Only reports of crime which occurred in Highlands County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction (unincorporated areas and the City of Avon Park)  can be filed online using this system. Outside these areas, you must contact the appropriate agency directly.

IT IS A CRIME TO FILE A FALSE POLICE REPORT!
